Johan Grimonprez, (Belgium) : Director of the internationally acclaimed film & video projects dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y, 1997 and Koberweng or Where is your helicopter ?, 1992. Together with filmcritic Herman Asselberghs, he curated the mobile video-lounge Beware! In playing the phantom, you become one, 1994-1997. His work has been part of numerous exhibitions, events and festivals around the world, including documenta X, (Kassel). Johan Grimonprez studied at the School of Visual Arts and attended the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program in New York. Presently on a DAAD grant in Berlin, he is researching a new film project on Happy Endings.
