Certain public places are part of a social organisation that structures the space according to precise rules of censorship and division, a principle of scission related to the image of sexuality and intimacy.

Using the very notion of “public toilets”, compartmentalised into men's and women's, Allan Kaprow and seven other people decide to create a group of intervention and research consisting of permutating, interchanging, and disrupting these criteria for the distribution of space. In pairs, like commandoes, a man and a woman enter and transgress this territory and its norms, by way of simple acts of physical hygiene: urinating, washing their hands, or combing their hair. This action is repeated four times, then followed by a debate within the group, aiming to humorously formulate the sensations of each party, the consequences of “the incident”.
